On Tuesday, June 3 at approximately 6:00 p.m. the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an alleged robbery. The victim stated that she was driving on Illinois Rt. 16 between Irving and Witt when what she believed to be a law enforcement vehicle activated a light. The victim says she pulled over and the suspect allegedly approached her vehicle and demanded cash.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office along with other law enforcement agencies searched the area for the alleged car and suspect with no success. The sheriff’s office continues their investigation. No other incidents similar to this have been reported.
