Bond County 4-H Members Participate In The State Jr. Horse Show

4-H and FFA horse project participants from across the State gathered July 22-27 at the State Fairgrounds in Springfield for the State Jr. Horse Show.

The week begins with jumping and dressage classes and progresses through hunter under saddle, equitation, conformation, horsemanship, gaming and western pleasure classes. Fun classes like egg and spoon, costume and the family egg toss are also included.

Bond County 4-H members Delainey Enloe, Eva Payne, and Ashley Manning were among those competing this year.

Their placings included:

Enloe: fifth in Pattern Riding and third in Reining

Payne: first in Egg & Spoon and tenth in Western Pleasure

Manning: fifth in Costume and seventh in Egg & Spoon
