Bond County Fair Adds New Kids Activities

The Bond County Fair has added a Kid’s Corner to this year’s slate of activities. The Kid’s Corner will be held Sunday, August 3 in the Activity Building.

Kid’s Corner organizer Katie Perkins, with the Bond County Fair Association, told WGEL more about this year’s new activities.

“We’re going to try to start following the FFA kiddie pedal pull around 2:00 p.m. with the Diaper Derby,” Perkins told us. “That’s a crawling race for kids who are not yet a year old, so it should be completely adorable to see those kids trying to race to their parents.

“We’re going to follow that with the Cutest Little Farmer dress-up contest. That’s for kids ages two to seven, to see whose got the cutest little farmer out there. We’re also going to have the Longest Ponytail competition and a Baby Picture Contest.”

A detailed list of Kid’s Day activities and registration information can be found on Page 72 of the Bond County Fair book, available in businesses throughout Bond County. Or, for more information, call Katie Perkins at 267-8084.
