The Greenville Chamber of Commerce sponsored the first of two Old Fashioned Fridays events yesterday. Old Fashioned Fridays are held on the Greenville Square and feature free popcorn, snowcones, and face painting for local kids.
Chamber Director John Goldsmith told WGEL they couldn’t have asked for better weather and they had great help for the event, as well. Several Junior Miss and Miss Bond County contestants were on-hand to run the snowcone and popcorn machines and do face painting for the kids.
The final Old Fashioned Friday of the year will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. next Friday, July 25 on the northeast corner of the Greenville Square.
