The American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Clinton County will be held this Friday, August 1 through the following Saturday morning at Breese Central High School.
“Currently this year we have about 29 teams and our goal is to raise $250,000,” Melisa Hemann, Co-Chair of the Clinton County Relay, told WGEL. “At this point we’ve had some really good fundraisers and we’re basically exceeding our goal. But we’re still going to keep going and try to make more, because we all know that cancer is something we don’t want to hear a lot about and want to find a cure for.”
The Clinton County Relay for Life will surpass the $3 million mark in fundraising this year.
The Relay opening ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday. Closing ceremonies begin at 6:00 a.m. Saturday.
