Fireworks Are Returning To Patriot’s Park

For the first time since 2011, the skies above Patriot’s Park will light up with a fireworks show on July 4. A grassroots effort known as the Bond County Independence Day Festival Association has been raising funds since last fall for the event.

Activities will begin at 5:00 p.m. on July 4 with food vendors and kids’ activities including inflatables. The Greenville Municipal Band will conclude its concert season with a 6:00 p.m. performance at the park. The Christian Connor Band will perform from 7:00 p.m. until the fireworks show, which is projected to begin at 9:20 p.m., and again after the fireworks until 11:00 p.m.

Bond County Transit will provide round-trip shuttle service to the Bond County Fourth Fest beginning at 5:00 p.m.  Pick-up points are the Greenville Regional Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop, the Greenville High School gym, and the parking lot behind Dairy Queen.
