The 2014 Illinois Forage Expo was Thursday at the Tony Snow farm near Mulberry Grove. The operation is a forage-based, intensive grazing dairy which includes a 70′ X 260′ hoop shed compost barn using cornstalks for bedding.
The Forage Expo included field demonstrations, a tour, discussion, and education sessions.
The event was co-sponsored by the Illinois Forage and Grassland Council, University of Illinois Extension, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Bond County Soil & Water Conservation District.
