Hard Road Theatre in Highland is presenting a new production later this month, a musical version of the movie “9 to 5.”
“It is based on the 1980 movie with Dolly Parton, Lily Tomlin, and Jane Fonda,” musical director Tom Varner told WGEL. “Dolly Parton wrote all the lyrics and songs for the musical which is set in 1979. The three women get into some hijinks, kidnap the boss, and take over the company. There are a lot of laughs and a lot of good music.”
Hard Road Theatre Productions will present “9 to 5” July 25-27 and August 1-3 at the Highland Elementary School. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 2:00 p.m.
