In the recent Bond County Board of Health meeting, Public Health Administrator Mark Ayers detailed for the board the health department’s upcoming tobacco-free policy. Starting January 1, tobacco use of any kind – including e-cigarettes – will be prohibited on the department campus by staff, clients, and guests.
Ayers told the board the department continues to test mosquito batches from 8 locations in Bond County for West Nile virus and all results have been negative. He also told the board that 57 residents visited the Kidney Mobile when it was at the Health Department last month. 41 of those individuals were referred to their physicians due to at least one abnormal test result.
