Local Art Sought For New Summer Show

Our Common Ground, a local non-profit organization founded to establish an appreciation for local and regional artists, has announced a new summer art show and they’re looking for local artists to participate.

“This will be the first annual Our Common Ground Artists Guild show, featuring local art and local artists,” Our Common Ground’s Martha Iler told WGEL.  “We’re calling it ‘Exploring the Near Unknowns’ because we’re looking for people we’ve not seen before that might be out there that haven’t shown anywhere.

“So all they need to do is go online to our website, www.ocgart.org, and look for the Artists Guild tab and look for the Call For Entries tab, there will be the entry form that they can download, fill out, and mail in.

The deadline to enter up to three pieces of art in the show is this Friday, July 11.  The show is open to all artists age 18 and up.
