Greenville College President Dr. Ivan Filby recently presented Congressman John Shimkus with a Greenville College Panthers uniform for the Congressional Baseball Game. The presentation was made on the college’s campus prior to the Congressional Baseball Game.
Roll Call sponsors the annual baseball game between Congressional Republicans and Democrats. This year the Democrats won 15-6 in Wednesday night’s action in the home of the MLB’s Washington Nationals, Nationals Park. Shimkus coached first base and was the second pitcher of the game for the Republicans.
