Greenville firefighters responded Monday, around 7:00 a.m., to an alarm at Mallinckrodt. The alarm was activated due to fluctuation in water pressure, which was caused by fire hydrant flushing in the area. There was no danger and crews were back in service in about ten minutes.
Hydrant flushing in Greenville is expected to continue through Friday, July 11. For more information, call Public Works Director Bill Grider at 664-1644.
