Excessive Heat Warning In Effect Through Tuesday

An excessive heat warning is in effect until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday for the WGEL listening area.

The National Weather Service says it could feel like 103 to 108 degrees this afternoon. The high temps and humidity can lead to a high risk of heat-related stress and illness.

Young children, the elderly, those without air conditioning and people taking part in strenuous outdoor activity are most at risk.
