Law Dogs Donate To Food Pantry

Following their recent bucket drive in Greenville, the South Central Illinois Law Dogs recently made a contribution to the Bond County Food Pantry. The Law Dogs are a motorcycle club made up of current and former police, fire, EMS, and corrections workers from Bond, Fayette, Montgomery, and Clinton County.

“We did a bucket drive a couple weekends ago, raising money from the town,” Law Dogs member Marc Waschle told WGEL. “People came out and gave, so we were able to present Anna with a $1,000 check from the South Central Illinois Law Dogs, but it’s the community support that enabled us to do this. We’re really happy we could do this for a good cause.”

Anna Oestreich, with the Bond County Food Pantry, said the donation is a big help to the pantry.

“I just can’t tell the Law Dogs how much I appreciate all their hard work. I know they say all the support comes from the community, and it does, but without their hard work getting out on the street and pounding sidewalks and raising this money for us, it wouldn’t have been possible. We’re deeply grateful.”
