Lem Rhodes Cancer Foundation To Hold “Hope Celebration”

The Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation will host a “Hope Celebration” dinner to honor Bond County cancer survivors and their caregivers on Tuesday, September 9. The free meal and program will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Each cancer survivor may bring one caregiver to the celebration. Participants will receive a complimentary t-shirt. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by contacting Linda Marti at 581-4559.

The first annual Lemuel Rhodes Cancer Foundation Celebration of Life Festival is Saturday, September 13 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Greenville Elementary School playground. Around a dozen teams have raised money throughout the summer to benefit the foundation. The festival will include food, music, games, and featured speakers. Details will be released soon.
