Almost exactly one year ago, we were congratulating Riley Langham, of Greenville, on being crowned the new Bond County Fair Queen. Tonight in the grandstand, Riley will turn over her crown to a new Bond County Fair Queen.
“It’s been a crazy year, but it’s been so fun,” Riley told WGEL. “I’ll never forget all the memories that I’ve made this year. One event that really stands out for me was last September at the Relay for Life when I got to give a speech with my mom. That was really special to me and it meant a lot to a lot of people in our community, too, I think.”
Riley also offered her advice to the six young ladies who will vie for the title of Miss Bond County Fair tonight.
“I want to wish all of them the best of luck and my piece of advice would be to get involved in our community and get out there and participate and make the year as queen the best year you can make it.”
The Bond County Fair Little Miss, Junior Miss, and Queen Pageant gets underway tonight at 6:30 in the grandstand.
