A tree trimming accident claimed the life of an Alhambra man last week. 75 year old Dan Henry Dauderman was found Saturday morning on his 300-acre farm by his nephew after family were unable to contact Dauderman via telephone.
Dauderman had been trimming tree limbs from the bucket of his tractor. It appears a limb fell and struck the manual bucket release mechanism, causing the bucket to flip upside down. Dauderman fell approximately 10 feet to the ground. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Madison County Coroner personnel at 10:59 a.m.
The family estimates that Dauderman was in the wooded area remote from his residence since last Tuesday, the last day his mail had been picked up and, to their knowledge, the last time anyone had seen or spoken to him.
