In their meeting this week, the Bond County Unit 2 School Board voted to raise admission to high school varsity athletic events to $4 per adult and $2 per student and admission to underclass and junior high athletic events to $3 per adult and $2 per student.
The board unanimously approved a proposal for new band equipment, presented by Band Director Ryan Thomason in the amount of $12,977.
Approval was given to the Sorento Little League to move forward with improvements to the ball diamond and to Sorento School to erect a flower garden in honor of former teacher Carolyn Young.
The board approved the retirement of Pat Frey as the Food service Director at the conclusion of the 2015-2016 school year.
