Day Two Of Pie Auction Nets Over $2,300

Day two of WGEL’s Annual Pie Auction was another smashing success!

Pies baked by Bond County Sheriff Jeff Brown, Becky Blackburn from the Greenville Police Department, Tim Watson from Arthur Young Chevrolet, and Doug Stroud from Bradford National Bank brought in a combined total of $2,367.

That brings our two-day total to $4,317.

Thanks to everyone who has supported the effort so far!

Wednesday is the final day of the auction. Bakers include Bond County State’s Attorney Chris Bauer at 7:00 a.m., Bond County Board Member Gerald “Spanky” McCray at 7:30, Greenville College President Dr. Ivan Filby at 8:00, Bond County Coroner Tony Brooks at 8:30, and Tammy Stief of the First National Bank at 9:00.
