The Bond County Board met for a brief special meeting Monday afternoon and unanimously voted to hire Donald Albert as the interim Supervisor of Assessments for Bond County. Albert will take the place of former Supervisor of Assessments Deb Langham who was removed from office by the county board last week.
Albert will serve for 60 days and will receive the same pay as the former supervisor of assessments.
Albert brings with him several years of experience in the position. He worked for the Supervisor of Assessments office from 1972 to 1974 and again from 1982 until 1992, when he became the Supervisor of Assessments. He held that role for 16 years until his retirement in 2008.
