The investigation continues into the single vehicle fatal accident sometime early Monday morning on Mulberry Grove Road and Seagraves Cemetery Avenue. The accident was discovered and reported to the Bond County Sherriff’s department around 6AM Monday morning.
31 year old Larrey Gale, of Vandalia, was pronounced dead at the scene by Bond County Coroner Tony Brooks at 6:40AM.
Gale was traveling northbound on Mulberry Grove road when his vehicle left the roadway to the right. The vehicle then struck a rock driveway and became airborne. The car landed on its top after striking a tree. The Bond County Sherriff’s department and the coroner’s office continue to investigate why Gale’s vehicle left the roadway.
