Greenville FFA Hosts Fourth Annual Test Plot Field Day

The Greenville FFA Chapter will host their Fourth Annual Golden Rows Test Plot Field Day this Friday, September 12 west of Greenville near Lake Raymond Estates.

“We have a continuous corn test plot out there,” FFA Advisor Steve Zimmerman told WGEL. “We’re going to have lunch starting at 11:00 a.m. with pork burgers, hot dogs, chips, and drinks, for free. We invite anyone from the community to come out and join us.

“We’ll have seed companies give an overview of the plot between 11:30 and 12:30. Then we’re going to have a drone demonstration on crop scouting and possibly some other information on cover crops that we’re going to be doing out there in the future.”

The Greenville FFA’s Golden Rows Test Plot Field Day activities begin at 11:00 a.m. this Friday.
