Greenville Police Activity Report For August

The Greenville Police Department has released their report of activities for the month of August.

Officers investigated one report of battery, three residential burglaries, two thefts over $500, two thefts under $500, and six incidents of criminal damage to property.

In all, the department handled 34 traffic arrests and 16 criminal arrests in August.

Nine traffic accidents occurred in Greenville last month, two involving injury.

Firefighters from local districts responded to 104 fire calls. Emergency medical personnel responded to 109 incidents in August.

There were 10 complaints directed to the animal control officer and the lake patrol issued 16 verbal warnings.
