IDOT To Hold Meeting In Carlyle

The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold an informational open house in Carlyle Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. to provide updates on IDOT’s multi-year plan for District 8, based out of Collinsville.

“The multi-year program meeting is an opportunity for the public to come in and see what the department is working on; what’s currently in our annual year, which is the only funded component of the program,” Kirk Brown, Program Development Engineer with IDOT, told WGEL. “We’re in Fiscal Year ’15, so those are the projects that have money set aside for them to build.

“They will also get to see the projects that are in the ‘multi-year’, which are the ones that we anticipate could receive funding in the subsequent fiscal years.”

Brown said literature and displays, detailing IDOT’s upcoming projects, will be available at the meeting and engineers and technical staff will be on hand to answer questions.

The meeting in Carlyle will be held Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Clinton County Jail Complex.
