STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS HIT THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT

Strong to severe storms raced through the area over night leaving a tremendous amount of rain in their wake. Tornado warnings were issued for St. Clair County Illinois and other counties in Missouri. While no thunderstorm warnings were issued for Bond County; multiple severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for Madison and Macoupin Counties in Illinois. Thankfully no reports of damage were made to local police. At WGEL studios just over two inches of rain fell.
