Photos Of Wednesday’s “Blood Moon”

WGEL listener Debbie Gasser shared these photos she took of this morning’s “blood moon” lunar eclipse. The rust-red color of the moon is is the result of sun rays reflecting off the surface of the earth.

Gasser said the close-up shots of the moon were taken across from the Greenville Airport using a telescope. She also shared a few shots of the blood moon fading in the dawn.
