Board Of Health Increases Septic Inspection Fees

In their recent meeting, the Bond County Board of Health voted to increase the fees for septic permits and inspections.

The fee for a septic permit will increase from $50 to $75, to bring Bond County more in line with fees charged by neighboring counties.
The fee for a septic system inspection for a realtor or homeowner in Bond County were set at $100 for septic only and $150 for septic and water well.

Public Health Administrator Mark Ayers told the board the health department’s West Nile virus monitoring efforts are winding down for the season. For 2014, all West Nile tests were negative.
