Construction Delay On Rt 127 Project In Clinton County

The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that the contractor working on the IL Rt. 127 structure over the Kaskaskia River south of Carlyle has experienced fabrication issues with the new expansion joints on the structure, which is causing a delay in the completion of the project. The work is now expected to be complete by mid-November, depending on weather. A marked detour route is available.
