County Board Talks Ambulances, Insurance

In their meeting this week, the Bond County Board approved a $15,141 expense to replace the engine in a 2009 ambulance used by Bond County Emergency Medical Services. Lucas Emerick, with the EMS service, also provided board members with information on options for a new ambulance to add to the service’s fleet. County Clerk Randy Reitz said a new ambulance was in the budget for this year. The board tabled the discussion and will revisit the topic in a Special Service District Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on October 21.

The board approved the renewal of their Property, Casualty, and Liability Insurance through Snedeker Risk Management. The fee for the insurance will increase 3.8% over last year.

And the board approved the appointment of Bryant Briggs II to a three year term on the Smithboro Fire Protection District.
