Greenville Man Pleads Guilty To Drug Induced Homicide

20 year old Kevin A. Carter, of rural Greenville, appeared in Bond County Court recently and entered a negotiated guilty plea to the Class X Felony charge of Drug Induced Homicide. Carter pled guilty to delivering heroin to 34 year old Angela Gaynor of Sorento, an incident which led to her death.

Bond County Sheriff’s Deputies and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive female at a residence southwest of Greenville on the morning of July 28. Bond County Coroner Tony Brooks pronounced Gaynor dead at the scene.

Carter was sentenced to 12 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. A second charge of Drug Induced Homicide was dismissed as part of negotiations.

20 year old William M. Brennan of Sorento was charged with Obstructing Justice in the case. He pled guilty to the offense last week and was sentenced to 24 months probation.
