The National Weather Service has placed all of Illinois, and the St Louis Metro under a slight chance for severe storms Thursday afternoon and evening. While we’re likely to have off and on rain all day the best chance for stronger storms will be in the afternoon and evening time from about 4-10pm. Damaging winds, large hail and heavy rainfall are the main threats, but tornadoes are not ruled out. Our area could see up to 2 more inches of rain beyond what fell Wednesday night.
