Annual Veterans Day Observance In Greenville

The 17th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony in Greenville is Tuesday, November 11, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the Greenville First United Methodist Church. Judge John Knight will serve as master of ceremonies and the guest speaker is Richard VaNatta, Sr. Vice Commander of the Illinois Department of AMVETS. Everyone is invited to pay tribute to those who serve and those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

The 21st Annual Veterans Day Barbeque is also Tuesday at the Greenville VFW Post 1377. Serving is from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the cost is $8.00 per plate dinner or $4.00 for a sandwich. Wes Pourchot is cooking pork steak and pork chops. Carry-outs will be available. For more information call 664-1615.
