There is a change in the location for the Veterans Day Ceremony due to the weather. Because of a chance for rain and colder temperatures expected Tuesday, the 17th Annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be in the First United Methodist Church on South Second Street.
The ceremony is still Tuesday, November 11, starting at 11:00 a.m. The Honorable Judge John Knight is the Master of Ceremonies and the guest speaker is Richard VaNatta, Sr. Vice Commander of the Illinois Department of AMVETS. The Greenville High School Chorus will sing the National Anthem and provide other music. Boy Scout Troop 57 will lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Colors will be posted by representatives of area veterans organizations.
Everyone is invited to pay tribute to those who serve and those who have served in the United States Armed Forces.
