Community Raises Funds To Benefit Family Impacted By Tragedy

The Bond County community is rallying around a family impacted by a tragic accident that claimed four lives last week.

35 year old Crystal Anna Bone and three of her children, 18 year old Alyssa Sewell; 13 year old Drake Wisnasky; and 10 year old Abbie Wisnasky were struck by a train at a railroad crossing in Vandalia Thursday.

Greenville High School students raised funds to benefit the family during their Trunk or Treat event Friday night and again at Saturday’s playoff football game.

Donations for the family can be made to an account set up at Bradford National Bank.

Now, friends have rallied together to sell bracelets to benefit the family. Bracelets are $2 apiece. For information about ordering bracelets or making a financial contribution to the family, call Amy Bohannon at 267-2139 or Lukas Hamby at 267-7732.
