County Board Approves Highway Department Expenses

In their meeting this week, the Bond County Board heard a presentation by Lisa Wait, of the University of Illinois Extension. Wait detailed several of the Extension’s programs, including their partnership in working with the Simple Room on a community garden and butterfly watching program. Wait also highlighted new 4H clubs in Sorento and Pocahontas.

The board approved two expenses for the Bond County Highway Department: One, a $325,000 maintenance resolution for the 2015 maintenance year. The second was for the purchase of a 2015 Ford F250 pickup truck for $18,535 from Bob Ridings in Taylorville.
