The cast of the upcoming GHS fall play: (L to R) Nick Hess as Morris, Samantha Siefken as Mady, Emily Gaffner as Rose Benjamin, Braden Oestriech as Joe Benjamin, Cassidy Spencer as Sarah Benjamin, Nick Watterson as David Benjamin, Josh Brannon as Ben Benjamin, and Silas Grove as Sidney Lipton.

Greenville High School students will present their fall play this Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. each evening.

This year’s production is called “God’s Favorite”.

“It’s a comedy by Neil Simon,” Director Scott Spencer told WGEL. “It’s Neil Simon’s version of the Old Testament book of Job. Our lead character is Joe Benjamin, a Long Island businessman. He is a multi-millionaire. He is successful and has a mansion, a family, and everything else.

“One night he is visited by – not an angel – but a common, ordinary messenger of God who says God and the Devil had a discussion and the Devil thinks Joe will renounce God if God puts enough heat on Joe.”

“God’s Favorite” begins at 7:00 p.m. both Friday and Saturday in the Greenville High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students and are available at Watson’s Drug Store or the Greenville High School office.
