On November 14, the Greenville Federal Correctional Institution celebrated its 20th year in operation.

FCI staff welcomed many local guests at noon in their training center. Former wardens Audie Sherrod, Rick Seiter, and Sarah Revell spoke. Mayor Alan Gaffner talked about how important the FCI has been to the economy of the community. Friends and family of employees took tours of the facility. The Disturbance Control Team and Special Operations Response Team both gave demonstrations on the obstacle course.

Over 40 current employees who were on hand when the first inmates arrived at Greenville were recognized.
