Health Board Sets Insurance Rates, Raises For Staff

In their meeting this week, the Bond County Board of Health voted to increase employee insurance contributions from $10 to $40 per month. Employee insurance has not been finalized yet, but it is known it will come at a sizeable increase in fees for the county. The Health Board’s vote will bring Bond County Health Department employees in line with the rest of the county’s employees who currently pay $40 per month.

The board approved a 1.75% raise for health department employees.

Public Health Administrator Mark Ayers reported the Health Department has provided nearly 600 normal and high-dose flu vaccines to county residents and still has several doses remaining. For information on flu shots, contact the Bond County Health Department at 664-1442.
