National Weather Service Calling For First Measurable Snow This Weekend

It’s no secret that cold weather has arrived in the WGEL listening area. And now, meteorologist Ben Miller with the National Weather Service says snow accumulation is on the way this weekend.

“There’s going to be a weak storm system that moves through the area over the weekend and it’s going to give us our first measurable snow of the season,” Miller said. “Looks like Saturday night is the best time for that. Right now it looks like things will get going Saturday evening with a majority of the accumulation falling during the overnight hours.”

Miller said the National Weather Service expects up to an inch and a half by the time the snow wraps up on Sunday.
