Bond County deputies were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at 143 and Metcalf road at 7:30am Saturday. According to authorities 22 year old Landon Perkins of Troy left the roadway to the north over steered back onto the roadway lost control, the vehicle then overturned before coming to rest in a field. Perkins had to be extricated from his vehicle but did not go to the hospital. A second vehicle slid sideways on the roadway to avoid striking Perkins’ car. According to the police report the accident was allegedly caused by a distraction in the vehicle.
