Chance Of Snow Christmas Eve

The National Weather Service says we can expect dry and mostly cloudy weather on Tuesday.

Another system will move into the region Tuesday night bringing in additional rain. Colder air will slowly filter into the region with this system, so the light rain will change to a mix of rain and snow early Wednesday morning, before changing over to all snow Christmas Eve afternoon.

We could see between one and two inches of accumulation along and east of a Steelville, Missouri to Litchfield, Illinois line by Christmas Eve. This includes the St. Louis metro area, with lesser amounts to the west.

Quiet weather with partly to mostly sunny skies and a high in the 40s is expected on Christmas Day.
