County Board Approves Energy Agreement

The Bond County Board met very briefly in special session Friday morning. The board approved an agreement with Home Field Energy at a rate of .05666 cents per kilowatt from April 2015 through December 2017. Board Chairman Howard Elmore said that rate was a little higher than they are currently paying Home Field Energy, but it is about the same rate they had with Ameren before switching providers, noting that Ameren rates are expected to increase soon.

The board set meeting dates for 2015.

The Labor Union Local 622 contract was on the agenda, but members said the matter was still being negotiated and no discussion was held.
