Greenville College Shares Strategic Plan

Greenville College announced last week that in 2017 the institution would transition to Greenville University. As part of that transition, GC has made its strategic plan available for public viewing.

“Come to our website and you’ll see the strategic plan for the next three to five years, which talks about things like accelerating our graduation times, some of the new programs we’re looking to begin, and campus infrastructure,” Greenville College President Dr. Ivan Filby told us. “We’re really…trying to keep who we are in terms of our historic mission, but retooling that for the 21st century. It’s an exciting time for us, and hopefully for the City of Greenville.”

If you visit, you can also view the 1,000-day countdown calendar, which will count the days to the name change from Greenville College to Greenville University. That countdown begins on Christmas day this year and will end on September 20, 2017, the 125th anniversary of the college’s first convocation ceremony in 1892.
