Kingsbury Park District Approves Director Contract, Passes Levy

In their meeting Monday night, the Kingsbury Park District approved a two-year contract for KPD Director Jerry Sauerwein, retroactive to November 1. The contract includes a 2.5% annual raise. Sauerwein had worked the previous two years as an at-will employee with no contract and no pay increases. The vote was a unanimous 4-0 decision; board member Dennis Warren was absent.

The board voted unanimously to a 5% increase in the tax levy.

Members also voted to purchase a snow plow for $5,690 and accepted the disc golf proposal for Patriot’s Park. The fee is $2,500 to lay out the course and the district plans to do as much of the work as possible themselves.
