The Greenville Knights of Columbus #11707, with assistance from St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Panther Products, recently collected over 60 new coats for distribution for the holidays.
31 of the coats were given to local elementary school students while the remaining were donated to local social organizations for distribution to those in need.
Local chair Dave Tabor said the Coats for Kids program is a great way for our local community to assist those in need during the cold winter months.
This is the first year the Greenville group has participated in the nationwide Knights of Columbus coat drive program.
The Greenville Knights of Columbus meet on the first Wednesday of each month and membership is open to local Catholic men over age 18.
