Law Dogs Share Christmas Gifts With Veterans In Nursing Homes

The South Central Illinois Law Dogs, a motorcycle club made up of current and former police, fire, EMS, and corrections workers from Bond, Fayette, Montgomery, and Clinton Counties, recently conducted a drive to collect items to put into care packages to be given to veterans in area nursing homes.

The drive was a huge success and Dale Sarginson, of the Law Dogs, told WGEL the packages have been distributed to vets in nursing homes in Greenville, Vandalia, Hillsboro, and Carlyle.

“It’s pretty cool to watch them light up,” Sarginson said. “They get all excited and everybody’s got a story to tell. It’s pretty neat.”
