The Clinton County Crimestoppers are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons involved in the recent aggravated armed robbery attempt that occurred in the early morning hours New Year’s Day at the Flat Branch Saloon, north of Carlyle on Rt. 127.
During the course of the incident, the owner of the tavern suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to an area hospital. Two subjects were seen fleeing the scene.
Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputies, Carlyle Police, and Illinois State Police are all involved in the investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office at 594-4555.
