Hard Road Theatre In Highland To Present “Drinking Habits”

Hard Road Theatre in Highland will present their latest play, “Drinking Habits” January 23-25 and 30-31 in the Highland High School Kennel.

Production Director Tom Varner told WGEL about the plot of the show:

“These nuns have been bootlegging wine on the side for several years to raise money to save their convent and there’s a possible frost that endangers their harvest and a bunch of problems arise from that,” Varner said. “Unbeknownst to them, too, someone submits one of their bottles to a contest and they win a huge prize, but nobody knows who made it. A couple of reporters show up because they think the wine might have been made there in the convent. They get mistaken for a nun and a priest and there’s a lot of mistaken identities.”

The cast of eight includes individuals from Greenville, Highland, and the surrounding communities. Tickets are $9 if purchased online at hardroad.org or $10 at the door. $1 from each ticket sale will benefit the Highland Food Pantry.
