Kaskaskia College President Dr. Jim Underwood and his wife, Roxie, of Centralia recently donated $1,000 to the KC Agricultural Center Campaign.
Underwood, who grew up on a farm, said the agriculture program is very important and noted his pride in the college’s expanded agriculture offerings serving record enrollments.
In December 2013, the State of Illinois turned over to the college, the building which formerly housed the state’s animal disease lab located on KC’s main campus. The 48,000 square foot building provided Kaskaskia College with space to expand current programs and to offer career training in new fields. The center opened its doors this past fall.
