Metro East Man Convicted In Fatal Shooting Of Cousin

An Alton man has been convicted for the 2011 shooting death of his cousin. A Madison County jury deliberated for six hours Thursday before Damond Riddlespriger was found guilty for the murder of 22-year-old Marlon Poindexter. Prosecutors say the defendant had been upset with his cousin’s relationship with a female acquaintance at the time of the shooting. Riddlespriger can face up to 60 years in prison when he’s sentenced.
